Acorn Nursery

Welcome to Acorn Nursery Class For Pre-School Children Aged 2, 3 and 4 Years

Our nursery unit is a fully integrated part of St Mary’s Lower School.  We are proud to offer our children a friendly, stimulating, happy and safe environment that encourages children to become independent learners and ease their transition into full time schooling.

The curriculum throughout the Early Years is based on the revised Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, providing the children with a range of adult led and child initiated learning opportunities with a clear focus on learning through play.  Play is essential for children’s development, building their confidence as they learn to explore, problem solve and relate to others.

It is important for us to establish strong relationships with parents, families, other settings and the wider community and we look forward to working in partnership with all those who can have a positive impact on the children who attend our nursery.

We welcome visits from Parents and Carers to look around Acorn Nursery.  If you would like to visit and meet our Nursery staff please call or email and we will arrange this for you.
