Your child's learning experiences

We create individual ‘learning journeys’ for each child in Acorn Nursery through a piece of educational software called ‘Tapestry’. Shortly before your child joins Acorn Nursery, you will receive an email asking you to log on and create your own password.

By logging on to Tapestry with this secure username and password you will be able to view all of your children’s observations, photographs and even videos from their time in Acorn Nursery. In addition, you will receive an email telling you when a new observation or piece of work is available for you to view. This will enable you to follow your child’s individual progress closely and you will also be able to reflect upon their achievements with them.  

You can also add comments so that your child’s teacher(s) find out about which activities your child really enjoyed and the learning they get up to at home.  All of this information is stored on a highly secure server which is monitored closely.
