Packed Lunches
As an alternative to School Dinners, we understand that parents may choose to send their child/children in with a packed lunch from home.
Packed lunches for your child should be simple, balanced and designed to keep them nourished throughout the school day. Choosing nutrious options such as fruit, vegetables, wholegrain sandwiches and lean proteins helps support energy and concentration, while planning ahead with nut free choices can provide reassurance for families and help support any classroom requirements. If you are preparing a packed lunch, ensure your child’s meal is safe and suitable for school (nut free) and ensure your child understands the importance of not sharing food with others.
Please remember that packed lunches should be as healthy as possiblwe (as per Government directives). Large amounts of chocolate are not advisable or permitted.
