Our daily routine

Children are welcomed into the setting each morning at 8.45am at the door and find their names before choosing where to play in the class room.

The doors are closed and locked at 9am. The chime is rung and the children sit on the carpet briefly whilst the register is taken and any information discussed about the session. They are then free to choose to play in the class room or participate in one of the adult led activities available.

At 9.30am, the door to the outside area is opened and children are free to choose to play outside.

In the morning, around 9.30am, children are offered fruit, along with an additional snack item and are encouraged to drink water from their water bottle. In the afternoon, around 2pm, children are offered milk.

At the end of each session, a ‘Tidy Up Song’ is played where everyone tidies up together and the whole group come together for our daily group time and worship.

Before lunch, the helper of the day collects the candle for our lunchtime prayer before going to the toilet and washing our hands ready for lunch. Children staying for lunch are then taken over to the dining hall where they are looked after by designated staff.

At the end of the day, children either get ready to go home or to go to Funzone where they are taken over by a member of staff.
