Academically More Able

At St. Mary's we know all our children are talented in some area, but we also recognise that there are some children who work at a level much higher than their peers academically.  

Children who are identified as being academically more able in a particular curriculum area are given opportunities to develop their skills or understanding through adapted work in lessons which challenges them to extend their skills and knowledge.

All our lessons have differentiated Success Criteria with a 'challenge' option.  

This 'challenge' opportunity, provides an additional extension to the learning for our most able children.
