Remembrance 2025

In 2025, we visited the war memorial in Church on Remembrance Day.  Some of our older children read the names of fallen from the memorial, whilst others read a prayer and others were also involved in raising and lowering the flag before and after the two minutes silence.

After all of the children observed the two minutes silence beautifully, some of our children also laid a wreath on the memorial.  This was made from off-cuts of wooden discs.  One of our Forest School children also laid a wreath on behalf of our Forest School group.

This years' Remembrance Service was extra special as we were joined by Bishop Richard, the Bishop of Bedford.

Harvest 2025

In September 2025, we once again asked our families to donate dried/tinned goods as well as nappies, hygiene/toiletry products etc.  These items were then split between our Clophill Community Hub and the NEED project (https://theneedproject.org/).

Our families were, again, incredibly generous in their donations.  Here are some pictures of the donations:

Village Christmas Cards 2025

As has become customary, every year we make special Christmas Cards for the Methodist Church and St. Mary's Church.  Some of our children deliver these with a member of staff.  The children really enjoy visiting the community at this time.

St. Mary's Church Christmas Tree Festival 2025

This is an annual community event, featuring creative, uniquely decorated trees.  Here is our entry for 2025:

Our trees were made from recycled pallets and bottle tops.

We thought about all of the charities and other providers we work with and shared these as presents under our trees.  We try to 'gift' them our help and support.  By gifting them, they also gift us - helping us to grow as effective citizens of the future!

Clophill Open Gardens 2024

We showcased our beautiful Early Years Garden during the 2024 Clophill Open Gardens Event, with artwork from Year 2 on display to also showcase some of our amazing curriculum work!

Year 2 also worked hard to improve our planters around the school, ahead of Open Gardens, as part of their Young Leaders work.  Our amazing Friend's of St. Mary's and a team of parent helpers also worked at making the rest of our outdoor space look beautiful for the event!

We previewed our Open Garden during the official opening of our new Early Years garden on 21/06/24.
